REPLACING RESOURCES WITHIN individual or SELECTED BLOCK OF LIBRARY ITEMS
There may be times when you want to replace a resource throughout a selected
block of items within your library page. For example if you have a group
of similar items all using Bagged Sand, you may want to replace all occurrences
with Bulk Sand. This function allows you to apply the replacement across
a selection of items in one process, avoiding the need to change each
individual item rate.
- Select the block of items containing the resource(s) to be replaced
(This must be a contiguous group of items)
- Select the Replace Resource function (button or right click). A separate
window loads displaying a list of the resources used in the selected
items on the left. On the right side of the screen is your resource
library
- To replace a currently used resource (shown on the left), locate the
replacement resource you want from the right table, then simply drag
& drop the resource onto the resource to be replaced.
- Repeat for each resource to be replaced.
All calculated totals within the items affected are automatically updated
by the program.
Tips
Use this function when, for example:
- You find a better/cheaper product to do the job
- You use named labour resources (e.g. Jim Smith - joiner) and you employ
a replacement
- If you want to replace a resource throughout your entire library use
the Resource Replacement function
